Al-Hilal prepare 'massive offer' for Newcastle star Alexander Isak after Liverpool rebuffed

<p>According to <a href="https://gianlucadimarzio.com/isak-al-hilal-newcastle-transfers-news/" target="_blank">journalist Gianluca Di Marzio</a>, Al-Hilal are eyeing Isak to strengthen their attack this summer. The Saudi team are said to be considering a 'massive offer' to convince the Sweden international and Newcastle to part ways with the prolific striker. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>This comes shortly after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/alexander-isak-liverpool-off-newcastle-saudi-owners-intervention-block-sale-record-gbp130m/blt44ceaff0c29e98d5" target="_blank">Newcastle told Liverpool that Isak was not for sale</a>, despite the Reds preparing to offer a British-record £130 million ($175m). As a result, it seems Al-Hilal will not find it easy to secure the 25-year-old's signature, despite the financial resources at their disposal.</p>

<p>Isak scored 27 goals for Newcastle last season as they <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/newcastle-player-ratings-vs-liverpool-alexander-isak-dan-burn-carabao-cup-final/bltc18db704f858f094" target="_blank">won the Carabao Cup</a>, to end their 70-year wait for a major trophy, and qualified for the Champions League. And the Swede, who still has three years left on his contract, was a vital component of that success.</p>
