Luiz would have been otherwise engaged had he not been forced to sit out Aston Villa’s impressive 2-0 victory over Premier League title hopefuls Arsenal. The Brazilian midfielder was, however, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/douglas-luiz-main-way-girlfriend-aston-villa-star-alisha-lehmann-helped-him-reveals-surprising-rule-home/blt4490b5a35f2f8385" target="_blank">able to enjoy a fun day with his partner</a>.

With that in mind, the Swiss star was able to head out with “the family”.

Luiz was suspended for Villa’s trip to Emirates Stadium, after collecting 10 yellow cards in the Premier League this season, and will also be banned for a home date with Bournemouth next Sunday. He will, however, be available for the second leg of a Europa Conference League quarter-final clash with Lille on Thursday that the Villans currently lead 2-1 on aggregate.
