<p>The English striker just can't stop scoring for <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/former-ligue-1-giants-bordeaux-to-fold-after-relegated-to-third-tier/blt23117e28036991d4" target="_blank">Bordeaux in the Championnat National 2. </a>The 35-year-old scored a brace on his Bordeaux debut against Voltigeurs de Châteaubriant and has now scored another two goals to inspire his side to their first win of the league campaign over Olympique Saumur.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Bordeaux, who were once a powerhouse in Ligue 1, filed for bankruptcy in the summer. Their financial troubles came after a failed takeover attempt by Fenway Sports Group (FSG), the owners of Liverpool, which left the club in a dire situation. Placed in financial administration, Bordeaux were forced to release all of their players and rebuild from scratch, making room for new signings like Carroll.</p>

<p>Before joining Bordeaux, Carroll had been playing for Ligue 2 side Amiens.
