After the match, as Postecoglou walked into the tunnel, he had a verbal altercation with a Spurs fan, who kept screaming 'What was that?!' at the Australian coach. Bayern Munich loanee Mathys Tel came in between and had to act as a peacemaker.</p>

<p>Postecoglou's future at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium remains uncertain as the defeat saw the club drop to 14th position in the table. Back in January, reports emerged that the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/tottenham-s-plan-for-ange-postecoglou-revealed-sack-talk-ramps-up-home-defeat-leicester/blt7fcf145739bcf3fc#csb4f36cefc92d71a5" target="_blank">club were not planning to part ways with the 59-year-old manager</a> amid a huge injury crisis in the squad. However, things could change by the end of the season as the head coach has clearly lost some of the supporters' trust after Sunday's heated incident.</p>
