<p>Jota had just settled back into a rhythm of actually playing for Liverpool but his injury issues have resurfaced ahead of the Reds' crucial clash against Brentford. The 28-year-old was not included in either the starting XI or on the bench ahead of the meeting in west London.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Head coach Arne Slot revealed earlier in the week that the prolific forward was a doubt for the trip to the capital, saying: "There is no doubt about the fact Jota is an important player for us, but he wasn't on the training ground yesterday so that means we have to see today where he is." <p>Jota's impact on Merseyside has been huge but there is a common theme with the former Wolves man. This season alone he has missed 12 games through injury and he missed more than 20 last term.</p>
