According to The Evening Standard, Wolves did not include a buy option and are reportedly hesitant to take on a commitment without being sure of the striker. Following a 10-month layoff due to a major knee injury, Broja has only managed two goals in 19 appearances this season. While Pochettino did not offer an update on Broja's situation, he did offer an insight into what the end of the January transfer window holds for the club.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Pochettino said <a href="https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-fc-transfer-news-armando-broja-wolves-b1135799.html" target="_blank">[via The Evening Standard]</a>: "There is nothing to communicate [on Broja]. All is quiet and we are so relaxed here."

Ultimately, Chelsea will attempt to replace Broja, but they may choose to wait until the summer when they will probably find a more advantageous market for strikers as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/victor-osimhen-arsenal-chelsea-napoli-serie-a-premier-league-transfer-hint/blt78168935e859d3c8" target="_blank">Napoli's Victor Osimhen</a> and Brentford's Ivan Toney are thought to be available. Due to their lack of sales this winter, Chelsea will be closely monitoring their compliance with the Premier League's sustainability and profitability regulations. As a result, they will be looking to sell academy graduates in the summer to help balance their books and meet PSR requirements.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The transfer deadline is 11 pm BST on February 1 and with the club unlikely to make any movements in the window, they will shift their focus onto their next game against the in-form Liverpool on Wednesday, January 31.
