<p>Slot appeared to be approaching referee Michael Oliver to shake his hand after full-time, yet the words between the two saw the Liverpool manager receive a red card, along with assistant Sipke Hulshoff. The matter is now back with the FA, who will decide what punishment to hand out. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Slot was angry at the end of <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/match/everton-vs-liverpool/bjc8qxpwmoki657tezilgsmqc" target="_blank">the 2-2 draw</a> after James Tarkowski's dramatic equaliser for Everton was allowed to stand, claiming Ibrahima Konate had been pushed in the build-up. Tempers flared among the players, too, with Abdoulaye Doucoure and Curtis Jones both seeing red after a melee. </p>

<p>An FA statement read: "It is alleged that both clubs failed to ensure their players and/or technical area occupants did not behave in an improper and/or provocative way following the final whistle. The Liverpool manager allegedly reacted in an improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words and/or behaviors towards both the match referee and an assistant referee after the match had finished." </p>

<p>The timeline of what happens next is not clear, with the FA able to proceed with the case at their pace.
