Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool set for transfer battle over 10-goal Premier League star

<p><a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/05/14/arsenal-liverpool-chelsea-transfers-joao-pedro-interest/" target="_blank"><em>The Telegraph</em></a> reports that the three Premier League giants are showing interest in Brighton forward Joao Pedro, who has 10 goals to his name this season, as they seek to sign a new number nine this summer.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The report adds that Arsenal and Chelsea have been long-term admirers of the Brazil international, who joined Brighton from Watford for £30m in 2023. If he is sold this summer, the 23-year-old is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/brighton-slap-eye-watering-price-tag-joao-pedro-carlos-baleba-interest-liverpool-newcastle/blt7bc44ec9bfed06ee" target="_blank">likely to leave for a good deal more than that</a>.</p>

<p>Former Fluminense star Pedro, whose contract runs until 2028 at the Amex, has scored 30 goals in 70 games for Brighton. He can also play as a number nine, a supporting striker, and on the wings, so will be viewed as a very versatile option.</p>
