Arsenal lead Premier League race to sign Man Utd target and former Ruben Amorim favourite as Sporting CP try to tie winger down to new deal

<p>Portuguese outlet Record, via <a href="https://sportwitness.co.uk/arsenal-repeatedly-sending-official-for-player-gunner-in-contact-stand-out-in-transfer-race/" target="_blank">Sport Witness</a>, claims Arsenal are the 'stand out' in the pursuit of former Wolves loanee Trincao and have repeatedly 'sent an official' to watch the Sporting CP winger. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The 25-year-old, who worked under head coach Ruben Amorim, is also reportedly a target for <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-dip-deep-sporting-demand-eye-watering-price-francisco-trincao-interest-ruben-amorim-s-side/bltf56fb882a43c828b" target="_blank">Manchester United</a> but Record's report does not name the other two Premier League sides linked with him. Understandably, teams are pursuing the Portuguese as he has eight goals and 15 assists in 31 league games this season. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Record state that Arsenal and the two other Premier League clubs have made contact with the player's entourage, and all three are offering Trincao a €3 million a year salary after tax.</p>
