<p>Arsenal and United are <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-pay-massive-fee-benjamin-sesko-gentlemans-agreement-60m-summer-transfer/blt947d0bf54871a106" target="_blank">both reported to be interested in signing Slovenian striker Sesko</a>, while the Red Devils are also <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/xavi-simons-barcelona-return-man-utd-still-in-race-to-sign-him-line-up-summer-bid-for-eur75m-rb-leipzig-star/blt9c31e391f8ec1c07" target="_blank">linked with Dutch attacking midfielder Simons</a>, who is ready to leave the German club this summer.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Leipzig made an agreement with Simons, 22, that he would be allowed to leave in the summer and they are ready to cash in, with <a href="https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/bundesliga-darum-will-rb-leipzig-xavi-simons-verkaufen-6809dc2b716a613fb7804027" target="_blank"><em>Bild</em></a> reporting that the club must sell players to raise funds. They are looking to recoup €100 million (£85m/$114m) - a total they are sure to surpass by selling both 21-year-old Sesko and Simons. Leipzig also feel they are not getting value for the €12m (£10m/$14m) salary they pay the inconsistent Simons.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>United will have to pay around €70m (£60m/$80m) to land Simons, who joined on a permanent transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in January. Sesko has a reported <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-pay-massive-fee-benjamin-sesko-gentlemans-agreement-60m-summer-transfer/blt947d0bf54871a106#cs4d299413d06f0a76" target="_blank">agreement with the Bundesliga side that would see him go for the same price</a>.</p>
