<p>It's nearly a month now since the Premier League 2024-25 campaign concluded and Arsenal fans are becoming frustrated with the club's <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/arsenal-striker-search-going-nowhere-gunners-swoop-chelsea-noni-madueke-winger-signing/blt967ca3beed8d2492" target="_blank">lack of activity in the summer transfer window</a>. While their closest rivals in recent years, Liverpool and Manchester City, have started spending heavily on new arrivals, the Gunners are yet to shell out a single penny in the market.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p><a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/06/24/arsenal-benjamin-sesko-viktor-gyokeres-transfer-window/" target="_blank"><em>The Telegraph</em></a>, however, reports that the Gunners are working on multiple deals behind the scenes and the names will be out soon. They have already sealed the transfer of <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/martin-zubimendi-real-sociedad-london-52m-arsenal-real-madrid-hijack/bltd7b86bfa765a5a96" target="_blank">Spain international Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad</a> and his arrival will be formally announced soon. The club are closing in on <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/arsenal-first-summer-signing-kepa-arrizabalaga-chelsea-premier-league-5-million/blt9856285b46307b7d" target="_blank">securing a transfer for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga</a>.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The signing that the Arsenal fans are eagerly waiting for is one of Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres. The north London side has remained linked with a move for the forwards since last month, though a recent report claimed that the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/arsenal-s-striker-search-hits-a-wall-refuse-to-pay-up-benjamin-sesko-viktor-gyokeres-asking-prices-too-high/blt9ea5820ffa18b37b#csd6e07d148cd8ba09" target="_blank">club could pull out of the negotiations due to massive asking prices</a>. <em>The Telegraph</em> report, however, claims that Arsenal are likely to pursue moves for Sesko and Gyokeres simultaneously to strengthen their negotiating position for the player they are prioritising, but that a source behind the scenes believe the situation is now a "mess".</p>
