Arsenal table €70m transfer bid for Viktor Gyokeres after sending club officials to meet with Sporting CP striker's agent

<p>The Gunners have been <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/arsenal-man-utd-target-pack-his-bags-if-mikel-arteta-side-come-calling-price-tag-viktor-gyokeres-back-up-revealed/blt1ec52535ded6594f" target="_blank">strongly linked with a move for Sporting CP goal machine Gyokeres</a> for much of the 2024-25 campaign and the club are now acting swiftly to get the deal done. According to <a href="https://cm.pt/" target="_blank"><em>Correio da Manha</em></a>, some of the club's directors attended <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/arsenal-women-player-ratings-barcelona-champions-league-winners-super-subs-beth-mead-stina-blackstenius-combine-gunners-defensive-masterclass-european-glory/bltfcd9f807d4830075" target="_blank">Arsenal Women's team's Champions League triumph over Barcelona</a> last weekend in Lisbon, and after the match, they met Gyokeres' agent, Hasan Cetinkaya. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The report adds that Arsenal have presented an offer worth €70 million (£58m/$79.5) plus a target-based fee. Gyokeres will receive a €12m signing bonus and earn €7m per season in wages if agrees to join the Gunners. Cetinkaya will now present the offer to Sporting president Frederico Varandas.</p>

<p>Bayern Munich and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/viktor-gyokeres-gives-ruben-amorim-final-decision-man-utd-transfer-race-sporting-goal-machine/bltd42c627960299c47#csa73b80a52c41fe22" target="_blank">Manchester United</a> have also shown interest in the Swedish forward, however, Arsenal are now considered favourites to sign him.</p>
