<p>The Colombian striker was sent off just past the half-hour mark in Villa's 3-0 defeat at St James' Park after referee Antony Taylor punished him for an apparent stamp on Fabian Schar, though replays suggested the decision was harsh. Duran was left fuming after the red card as he kicked a water bottle while on his way off the pitch.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The 21-year-old ace was already serving a three-match suspension for the straight red card but on Tuesday, the Football Association charged him for allegedly acting in an "improper manner" and he could now face further punishment. Duran has until January 3 to provide a response to the FA's charge.</p><p></p>
