<p>The Madrid derby is always a heated occasion, and it was no different on Tuesday evening as Real Madrid hosted Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Round of 16 Champions League tie, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/real-madrid-player-ratings-vs-atletico-brahim-diaz-fede-valverde-rodrygo-kylian-mbappe-vinicius-jr/blt0d6995a65cebe501" target="_self">which the former won 2-1</a>. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Dorado was a product of the Real Madrid youth system and made a couple of appearances for the first team, although he never really broke through. On February 27, the ex-Madridista passed away at the age of 48 from leukemia. Los Blancos paid tribute to one of their homegrown players on Tuesday, but the Atleti fans could be heard chanting "Madridistas, hijos de putas" (Madridistas, sons of b******), according to <a href="https://as.com/futbol/videos/captan-de-muy-cerca-la-ofensa-de-los-radicales-del-atleti-durante-el-minuto-de-silencio-v/" target="_self">AS</a>, over the emotionally resonant music played during the minute's silence. AS added that many away supporters were from the far-right ultra group Frente Atletico. </p>

<p>Real Madrid have never lost against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu, while their previous win at the venue came over nine years ago, on February 27, 2016, when Antoine Griezmann scored the only goal in a 1-0 win.</p>
