After seemingly <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/what-barcelona-are-blaming-for-failed-nico-williams-transfer-pursuit-spain-star-stay-at-athletic-club/bltce48579f10d14415#csdd4b20b59370609c" target="_blank">missing out on signing Nico Williams</a> from Athletic Club, Barcelona are now determined to land another Spain international Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig this summer. Per <a href="https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/barca-mejora-oferta-dani-olmo-106359932" target="_blank">Sport</a>, Blaugrana sporting director Deco has already submitted a second bid worth €50m (£42m) fixed + €15m (£12m) after their initial offer was deemed 'insulting' by the German club.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Catalan side's present offer is higher than <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/dani-olmo-warning-man-city-bayern-barcelona-rb-leipzig-offer-update-eur60m-star/blt0081fc8ee33c50fd" target="_blank">Leipzig's asking price</a> for the player which is set at €60m (£50m) and therefore they remain confident that a deal will be agreed upon very soon so that the attacking midfielder can join Hansi Flick's squad before the start of the upcoming 2024/25 campaign.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Catalan giants also believe that a personal agreement with the player will be reached very soon as Olmo will be glad to return to the club he had left 10 years ago as a teenager.
