Surprisingly, this decision does not apply to players’ families, who will be flown in at the club's expense.

One of the most notable attendees will be Katie Goodland, wife of England captain Kane, whose weekly earnings are estimated at £400,000.Falk revealed: "The players' families have been invited."Altschaffl added: "There's a whole week where families are allowed to come. I think after a stressful season, with a lot of hectic schedules, they're allowed to have their families around them." Falk then said: "You have to say, a few employees were annoyed. They're cutting costs everywhere, so only a small group of employees is allowed to go over, but the families are."

The root of the discontent lies in a broader financial strategy led by Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, who has ordered a 20 per cent reduction in overall squad-related expenditures. The directive, aimed at streamlining operations, has hit operational staff the hardest, particularly those in middle management, matchday operations, and administrative roles.Those excluded from the Club World Cup trip include employees who have been instrumental in supporting the team throughout a demanding season. Many of them now find themselves watching from home, while players’ families, not essential to football operations, make the journey Stateside.
