<p><a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/harry-kane-trophy-curse-lifted-vincent-kompany-defied-doubters-bundesliga-title-bayern-munich/blt2334ccf34a77b549" target="_blank">Kompany saw his Bayern side crowned champions over the weekend</a>, as Bayer Leverkusen failed to beat Freiburg, handing the title on a silver platter to their bitter rivals. Bayern have taken 76 points from 32 games and have only lost twice, with two games of the campaign to come.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Kompany has guided Bayern to the title in his first season, and after a campaign that saw the Bavarians beaten to the trophy by Xabi Alonso's irrepressible Leverkusen side in 2023-24. Now, the former Burnley boss has taken a moment to reflect on the achievement.</p>
