The report adds that Liverpool are considered the 'favourites' to sign the striker.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Kane has been prolific since swapping Tottenham for Bayern in 2023 and this season it seems he is finally inching closer to securing his first-ever major trophy. But if that goal is achieved, perhaps the England captain - who reportedly has a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/harry-kane-power-leave-bayern-munich-shock-release-clause-details-could-lead-to-premier-league-homecoming/blta78211a2faf69f6b#csc9eaefa125ce4e18" target="_blank">release clause in his contract</a> - may have his sights set on the Premier League and taking Alan Shearer's goalscoring record there.</p>

<p>Kane, whose contract at Bayern runs until 2027, is currently second in the all-time Premier League goals list (213) behind Alan Shearer (260). If the ex-Spurs man went back to England soon, he could overtake the Newcastle United legend. </p>
