Negotiations are continuing, with Palhinha himself keen on making the move to the Bundesliga giants. Despite this, Fulham's refusal to budge on their asking price has left the deal hanging in the balance.

The current transfer efforts come after a dramatic collapse of a similar deal last summer. Bayern had agreed to a fee close to Fulham's £60 million valuation, and Palhinha even flew to Munich for a medical. However, the transfer fell through on deadline day, leaving the player to return to Fulham.
