<p>Tah will complete a long-awaited move to Vincent Kompany's side from Bayer Leverkusen when his contract expires this summer, with <a href="https://sport.sky.de/fussball/artikel/bayern-holt-tah/13373583/34130" target="_blank"><em>Sky Sport</em></a> reporting a deal has been struck. According to <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1925982315424911585" target="_blank">Fabrizio Romano</a>, Bayern will have to negotiate a fee with their German rivals to sign him ahead of the Club World Cup.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The Germany international will sign a four-year contract and will undergo a medical next week. Bayern had attempted to sign him last year, but the centre-back ended up staying at Leverkusen, while Real Madrid and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/why-barcelona-fallen-behind-bayern-munich-race-free-agent-jonathan-tah-explained/bltf2f0751a1a8ca60e" target="_blank">Barcelona had shown interest in signing him</a>.</p>

<p>The 29-year-old joined Leverkusen from Hamburg 10 years ago and played a key role as they marched to a first ever Bundesliga title in the club's history. As well as Tah and coach Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen are set to lose Florian Wirtz, with the playmaker <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-florian-wirtz-eur150m-move-anfield-bayern-munich-defeat-germany-star/blt79e9a80ef0cc9024" target="_blank">appearing to have snubbed Bayern in favour of Liverpool</a>.</p>
