WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Shaw's United career has been plagued by injuries and he has been sidelined for the majority of this season. The 29-year-old missed the first three months of the campaign with injuries and managed two Premier League and one Europa League appearances before he was ruled out again. He <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/luke-shaw-man-utd-left-back-rejoins-training-following-injury-harry-maguire-leny-yoro-spotted/blt0fed0ea4032a3053#cs46ffa31bb6f363dd" target="_blank">has returned to training</a> and could be back in Ruben Amorim's squad before the season ends.</p>

<p>Fernandes has been first-team regular since he joined from Sporting in 2020, starting 184 of the 187 league games in which he has played. He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer, but <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/he-s-not-going-anywhere-ruben-amorim-sends-out-strong-message-on-man-utd-captain-bruno-fernandes-real-madrid-transfer-talk/bltb95fd7e7d87f0217" target="_blank">Amorim dismissed talk of him being sold</a>.</p><p>"He’s not going ­anywhere because I’ve already told him," he said.</p>
