<p>In the 91st minute of their match against Luton Town on Thursday, Hatters forward Carlton Morris leaped into the air on a deadly cross and smashed the ball into the back of the net with a beaming header. The issue, however, was that the Clarets goalkeeper - James Trafford - appeared to be blatantly hip-checked to the ground while making an attempt to catch the ball in the air.</p><p>After a lengthy VAR review - and much to the dismay of boss Vincent Kompany - the officials called the goal valid. NBC Sports Soccer's announcers were bewildered by the decision on-air, but Burnley co-owner JJ Watt went even further, posting a rant on social media platform X. The ex-NFL star went as far as inviting a monetary fine from the Premier League over his posts, calling the VAR decision 'disgraceful.'</p>

WHAT WATT SAID

<p>The contest was a crucial match for both parties, as they both sit in the relegation zone. With three points, Burnley would have been one point behind Luton in 18th, but instead, sit four behind their opposition from Friday's match. The controversial ending could have massive implications come the end of the season, especially if the Clarets find themselves relegated by less than two points.</p>

<p>The Clarets return to the pitch in two weeks time, with a match against reigning champions Manchester City - and a chance for Vincent Kompany to show the club where he attained legend status at, that he's a top manager.</p>
