WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>In an interview with <a href="https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/fussball/home-15769054.bild.html" target="_blank"><em>Sport BILD</em></a>, Musiala clarified the status of his contract discussions and stated: "Unfortunately I can't give the fans a Christmas present. There won't be any news in the near future."</p><p>He reiterated his desire to approach the decision without haste, adding: "We've had a lot of games recently, a lot of travelling. My focus is to concentrate on the games. I want to be free on the pitch, even if there's a lot of pressure from outside."</p><p>While a decision on a contract extension is pending, Musiala has expressed a clear vision of his future with Bayern.</p><p>"I would like to leave my mark on an era at FC Bayern. If I extend my contract with FC Bayern, that's my ambition and my goal," he said.</p><p>"But I also know that you have to work for it, with victories, titles and major trophies. Then you get that kind of prestige: I want to earn that at FC Bayern."</p>
