<p>Away from the field, as a global brand ambassador for Hard Rock, Messi – who has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/lionel-messi-explains-marvel-goal-celebrations-inter-miami-movies-united-states/blt5f99b04705b56c1f" target="_blank">made a habit of breaking out Marvel-inspired goal celebrations</a> – has become “the world’s newest superhero”. ‘Captain Messi’ will be “saving the day with his powerful kick”, with a posable toy being made available from October 23 with any Hard Rock Kid’s Menu order at cafes, through in-room dining at participating hotels and at Rock Shops worldwide – with the collection also including “lunchboxes, water bottles, backpacks, apparel and more”.</p>

<p>This is the first time that Messi has been involved in the creation of a toy that sports his likeness, with the Argentine icon saying of the project: “My kids and I love watching superhero movies together, so it was really special to work with Hard Rock to create Captain Messi. I hope it helps inspire young fans and families to work hard and believe in themselves to do great things.”</p><p>Jim Allen, CEO of Seminole Gaming and Chairman of Hard Rock International, added: “We’re thrilled to continue our incredible partnership with Lionel Messi and create a new way to represent all the joy he brings to people around the world.”</p>

The South American struck some superhero poses on stage and answered fun questions.</p>
