<p>Kylian Mbappe <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/kylian-mbappe-backed-become-real-madrid-phenomenon-emotional-issues-solved-galactico-santiago-bernabeu/blt6ccc82d2a6a86075" target="_blank">became another ‘Galactico’ at Santiago Bernabeu</a> last summer, but there is plenty of speculation to be found regarding more marquee additions. England international right-back <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/real-madrid-second-bid-trent-alexander-arnold-carlo-ancelotti-liverpool-star-january-transfer-window/blt444bf8492860f138" target="_blank">Alexander-Arnold is said to be registering on Real’s radar</a> – as his contract at Anfield runs down towards free agency.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Real are reported to have asked about the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-maximum-trent-alexander-arnold-transfer-fee-real-madrid-willing-to-pay-liverpool-january/blt51d1f29d86f362e4" target="_blank">possibility to landing Alexander-Arnold</a> in the winter window, but Ancelotti is giving little away when it comes to movement in and out of the Spanish capital. He told reporters when asked about possible transfer deals: “I don’t want to talk about it, because it’s not the right time to talk about it here. We’ll see what will happen, considering that I’m happy with the squad I have.”</p>

WHAT ANCELOTTI SAID

<p>Alexander-Arnold may <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/trent-alexander-arnold-tipped-challenge-ballon-d-or-real-madrid-ex-liverpool-striker-mate-jude-bellingham-swaying-transfer-decision/blt6667f289e8651a51" target="_blank">end up making his way to Madrid in the summer of 2025</a>. Real will hope to have collected more silverware by then, with Ancelotti readying his troops for a return to action against Valencia on Friday.</p>
