Manchester United signed Casemiro from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022 for a reported fee of over €70 million (£60.3m/$75.4m). However, the signing of the Brazilian superstar hasn't gone to plan and the club are now looking to part ways with the 32-year-old midfielder with new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe looking to overhaul the squad after a disappointing season. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/casemiro-cristiano-ronaldo-man-utd-future-speculation-wanted-saudi-pro-league-al-nassr/blt1f7ff76da34847aa" target="_blank">Casemiro has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League</a> and United already have a replacement lined up.

As per <a href="https://www.record.pt/futebol/futebol-nacional/liga-betclic/benfica/detalhe/manchester-united-aperta-cerco-a-joao-neves?ref=Benfica_DestaquesPrincipais" target="_blank">Record Portugal</a>, Man Utd's chosen replacement for Casemiro is Neves, who has had a breakout season with Benfica and is very highly rated by the Portuguese club and Ratcliffe's entourage. As per the report, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/joao-neves-man-utd-transfer-fight-liverpool-chelsea-interested120m-rated-benfica-star/bltd4934da9fa7bf30e" target="_blank">Man Utd could offer a sum over €100 million (£86.1m/$107.7m)</a> which is close to what Benfica expect as compensation.

Casemiro has become a shell of his former self at Old Trafford and his form has kept on falling with the progression of his stint. In Man Utd's last match, a 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, Casemiro was dribbled past eight times, a record this season in the Premier League as per <a href="https://twitter.com/WhoScored/status/1787587461658394809" target="_blank">WhoScored.com</a>.
