<p>Roma are preparing for life after Ranieri, as the veteran coach will retire at the end of the season. The 73-year-old tactician, who previously announced his retirement after guiding Cagliari to safety last season, was convinced to step back into management for a third spell at Roma. Under his leadership, the Giallorossi have climbed to sixth place in Serie A and are firmly in contention for a Champions League spot. </p>

<p>According to <em>Sky Sports Italy, </em>one of the standout names to replace Ranieri is Fabregas. Since taking charge of Como, the former star midfielder at Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea, has guided the club to a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/pep-guardiola-patrick-vieira-como-success-cesc-fabregas-two-role-models-first-managerial-meeting-ex-arsenal-midfielder/bltdb4f6812cff23239" target="_blank">stable mid-table position </a>in what is their first campaign back in Italy’s top division. His impact has not gone unnoticed, and Roma have already initiated contact with him regarding the potential vacancy.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Roma are not the only club tracking Fabregas’ progress. AC Milan, Juventus, and German side <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/the-next-xabi-alonso-rb-leipzig-looking-lure-cesc-fabgregas-away-dele-alli-como-become-new-head-coach/bltf9030e81f5e97eaa" target="_blank">RB Leipzig have also been linked</a> with interest in the 37-year-old.
