<p>Estevao thanked Palmeiras for everything the club has done for him in helping him reach where he has today. The 18-year-old will be a Chelsea player for the new season having stayed with the Brazilian club to compete in the Club World Cup, from which they were <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/cole-palmer-chelsea-estevao-palmeiras-club-world-cup/blt8c97386276f379c4#cs74f044907ee6fd8c" target="_blank">eliminated 2-1 by the Blues</a> in the quarter-finals despite <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chelsea-estevao-blues-outrageous-goal-near-impossible-angle-club-world-cup-showdown/bltc806132063b9453f#cse053f01c778f64c2" target="_blank">a stunning goal by Estevao himself</a> to level the scores in the second half.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Estevao has been earmarked as one of the brightest young talents coming out of Brazil for some time - the best since Neymar according to some - <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chelsea-land-messinho-estevao-willian-agent-deciding-factor/bltd501945598a24a71#cs12cf3f1c8439dc61" target="_blank">and he agreed a deal to join Chelsea</a> before the end of last season, in an initial £29m ($40m) deal which could rise as high as £55m ($75m) based on performances.</p>

<p>The teenage winger will soon arrive at Stamford Bridge and link up with his new teammates ahead of pre-season and the new campaign.
