The Blues are desperate to land the Nigerian hotshot and according to <a href="https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/napoli-osimhen-psg-chelsea-news-4-maggio-2024" target="_blank">Gianluca Di Marzio</a>, they could offer a package of £77 million (€90m/$96m) and two players, one of them a youngster. The other is rumoured to be Romelu Lukaku, who is currently on loan at Serie A side Roma.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Chelsea's desire to bring in Osimhen is understandable given he has bagged 14 goals in 22 league matches this season for a struggling Napoli side, three more than Lukaku in seven fewer games. The ex-Lille striker is also only 25 years of age and as such, the Blues face stiff competition to acquire his signature this summer - <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chelsea-miss-victor-osimhen-psg-near-agreement-eur120m-napoli/blt4068c626b2a5c969" target="_blank">most notably from Paris Saint-Germain</a>.

In 2022/23, Osimhen enjoyed the most prolific campaign by an African player in Serie A history, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/serie-a-top-scorers-2023-24/blt42a43c50d240034b" target="_blank">bagging 26 goals</a> as Napoli claimed their first Scudetto since the halcyon days of Diego Maradona in 1989/90. Osimhen also boasts an impressive international record, netting 21 times in 35 appearances for Nigeria.
