<p>Club América may be on break after an intense two-year stretch, but the front office is already hard at work planning reinforcements following a disappointing end to their Liga MX title hopes. After falling short of a historic four-peat, the club is preparing to make moves in the summer transfer window.</p><p><a href="https://x.com/ContactoTUDN/status/1930438540522909726" target="_self">In an interview with TUDN</a>, sporting president Santiago Baños acknowledged that some players failed to meet expectations during the last tournament. As a result, the club is targeting two to three new signings ahead of the Apertura 2025.</p><p>"There are players we believe have underperformed, and we’ve identified areas on the pitch that need to be strengthened. We’re currently evaluating candidates to reinforce the squad," Baños said. "I won’t name positions or players, because that complicates negotiations, but we do believe two or three additions are necessary."</p><p></p><p></p>

<p>While no official departures have been confirmed yet, Diego Valdés, Javairô Dilrosun, and Néstor Araujo are expected to leave. Additionally, Brian Rodríguez and Sebastián Cáceres could attract interest from European clubs in the coming weeks.</p>

<p>Club América’s owner didn’t hold back when reflecting on the club’s trophyless semester. In a candid statement, he reaffirmed the high standards that define the institution:</p><p>“América is built to win titles. For us, not winning is a failure. Obviously, I’d rather deal with the failure of missing out on a four-peat than settle for what other clubs are doing,” he said.</p><p>He also emphasized the need to deliver more to the fans. </p><p>“The supporters deserve much more," he said. "We have to take full responsibility, improve, and compete at the highest level - not just in Liga MX, but also in Leagues Cup and CONCACAF. We’re not stepping away from that challenge.”</p>
