Contract U-turn! Leroy Sane shocks Bayern Munich as Arsenal and Liverpool target makes surprise agent change

<p>Just when it looked like the 29-year-old would end speculation over his future and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/leroy-sane-turns-down-massive-offer-from-al-ittihad-to-stay-at-bayern-munich/blt8d441646e2e76466" target="_blank">sign a new Bayern contract</a>, CF Bayern Insider reports that Sane has <a href="https://cfbayerninsider.com/2025/05/bayern-premier-league-leroy-sane-contract-u-turn/" target="_blank">switched from the 11Wins agency to agent Pini Zahavi.</a> The report adds that the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/harry-kane-trophy-curse-finally-broken-bayern-munich-clinch-bundesliga-title-without-kicking-ball-xabi-alonso-bayer-leverkusen-dethroned-draw-freiburg/blt6ca8c94ea5ece145" target="_blank">newly-crowned Bundesliga champions</a> now have to start negotiations again 'from scratch'.</p>

<p>Sane has been <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/leroy-sane-transfer-decision-arsenal-liverpool-look-snap-germany-star-free-transfer/blt3ed7c0c722e02ca6#cs20fc6f44cd37e90b" target="_blank">linked with Arsenal and Liverpool</a>, who may be tempted to sign the speedy winger if he becomes a free agent this summer. The German international was seemingly prepared to take a pay cut to stay at Bayern but this agent shift may have put that to bed.  </p>

<p>According to <a href="https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/fc-bayern-leroy-sane-schaltet-transfer-piranha-ein-68178321ef9c0c6866b3e98d" target="_blank">Bild</a>, the former Manchester City man's decision has come as a 'complete surprise' to Bayern. Incidentally, Sane has scored 11 goals and bagged five assists in 28 Bundesliga appearances this season.</p>
