<p>Following <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/tottenham-player-ratings-vs-man-utd-europa-league-final-brennan-johnson-micky-van-de-ven/blt5503ac1eb0012125" target="_blank">Tottenham's 1-0 win over United</a> on Wednesday, Spurs centre-back Romero has been named as the tournament's best player by the <a href="https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/news/0299-1dd17e58badd-0d32129e7f0b-1000--cristian-romero-named-202425-uefa-europa-league-player-of-the-season/" target="_blank">UEFA Technical Observer Group</a>. The Argentine made seven appearances in the competition and captained the team to European glory in Bilbao.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>To cap off Tottenham's first trophy in 17 years, and their first European trophy since 1984, Romero has been joined in the <a href="https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/news/0299-1dd17e3f8ed9-56836ca7dd4c-1000--202425-uefa-europa-league-team-of-the-season/" target="_blank">Europa League's Team of the Season</a> by three team-mates. They are striker Dominic Solanke, right-back Pedro Porro, and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. </p>

<p>Alongside the Tottenham contingent, Eintracht Frankfurt's Robin Koch and Bodo/Glimt's Fredrik Andre Bjorkan make up the defence, while United duo Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes and Bodo/Glimt's Patrick Berg round off the midfield.
