<p>Portugal superstar Ronaldo and Nadal were just two of several high-profile sports stars who invested in the restaurant which opened in Madrid in March 2022. The restaurant was part of the Tatel Group whose founders include Nadal, with the likes of Ronaldo and Spanish basketball stars Rudy Fernandez and Pau Gasol on board as partners.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Toto was an Italian restaurant in the heart of Madrid known for its carbonara pasta, called the Vera Carbonara de Toto, and which promised a unique and authentic gastronomic experience. However, Toto has now unexpectedly closed after just three years, although the company's sister restaurants in Dubai and Abu Dhabi chains remain open for the time being, according to <a href="https://www.elespanol.com/madrid/ocio/20250307/cierra-inesperadamente-restaurante-cristiano-ronaldo-rafael-nadal-centro-madrid-kw/929157552_0.html" target="_blank">El Espanol</a>.</p><p></p>

<p>Toto was part of Ronaldo's vast business empire.
