<p>Deep into second-half stoppage time, Everton's Young went down in the box under the close attentions of Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt but the home side's penalty shouts were waved away. Ex-United boss Moyes was perplexed at the decision and also felt his side should have scored more following their <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-player-ratings-vs-everton-bruno-fernandes-harry-maguire-manuel-ugarte/bltb27712c64065c884" target="_blank">2-2 draw with the Red Devils</a> on Saturday.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>He told <em>TNT Sports</em>: "I think it should have been more. When we were 2-0 up, we had chances to make it 3-0. We were up against a good side, I know they are not in a good place in the table. We did as well as we could do. I thought Ashley Young's jersey is undoubtedly pulled. I thought the on-field decision was correct and I was surprised that the referee was sent to VAR. It went against us today, we won't complain too much about it. That decision went against us.</p><p>"Today's result was a good result, we lost two points and gave away two poor goals but we played well in front of the crowd and overall I'm really pleased."</p><p>He later told reporters: "I can't understand why the referee on the field makes a decision - if it was absolutely clear and obvious then he should go to the screen. I didn't see that. He pulled his jersey. I just thought the referee made the correct decision at the time and he should have stuck with it. It looked to me as though the shirt pull was enough for it to be given my feeling is the pull on the jersey, you shouldn’t be getting away with pulling jerseys."</p>

WHAT DAVID MOYES SAID

<p>Despite throwing away a 2-0 lead at Goodison Park, Everton are a place and one point ahead of struggling United - who have won just one of their last five Premier League games. The Toffees - who have 11 points from a possible 15 - seem on the up under Moyes whereas Amorim's Red Devils are floundering. </p>
