<p>Before Wrexham played Reading in League One, the Royals' fanbase staged a protest against owners Dai Yongge and Dai Xi Liu, and Wrexham supporters joined them. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Reading have had 18 points deducted under their current ownership, as they have fallen from the Championship into League One, and been served numerous winding-up orders, while also failing to deliver accounts on time to HMRC. They have just five senior players under permanent contract.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Fans gathered together outside the stadium and held a banner which read: "We're tired of villains. Football clubs deserve heroes."</p><p>Another banner was unfurled during the game, reading: "No community should lose their club."</p>

WHAT THE FANS SAID

<p>After Tuesday's showdown in Berkshire, Wrexham will head to promotion rivals Wycombe Wanderers this weekend, while Reading face Stevenage.</p>
