England U21 will begin their preparations for the UEFA EURO U21 with a friendly against France U21 on Saturday.
England aced the qualification stage and topped Group G with 25 points from 10 matches, three points more than second-placed Czech Republic. Under boss Lee Carsley, the side only lost once during the group stage of the qualifiers and will confident of making an impact at the continental stage.
Both the France and England U21 teams are scheduled to play two friendlies during this international break ahead of the EURO U21 competition set to be co-hosted by Romania and Georgia in June 2023.
While England did well in the group stage of the qualifiers, France were even more impressive. They were unbeaten in their 10 matches and finished with 26 points.
