<p>ITV have announced their line-up of pundits for the Women's European Championship this summer, with Eniola Aluko included, and Ian Wright excluded. The two were involved in a heated spat earlier this year, when <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/eni-aluko-punditry-career-thrown-doubt-itv-backs-ian-wright-war-words-over-womens-football/blt78f9b8c165351a1a#csaf0b0bd721b17a31" target="_blank">Aluko said Wright "should be aware of" how much work he does in women's football</a>. Wright reacted, and while Aluko attempted to apologise, the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/ian-wright-cant-accept-apology-eni-aluko-speaks-out/bltcb2e9afe6ba95661" target="_blank">former Arsenal and Crystal Palace star refused to accept her apology</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Now, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/eni-aluko-punditry-career-thrown-doubt-itv-backs-ian-wright-war-words-over-womens-football/blt78f9b8c165351a1a#csaf0b0bd721b17a31" target="_blank">despite ITV backing Wright</a> at the time of his refusal to accept Aluko's apology, the broadcaster have not reached a deal with him to be on their coverage. Aluko will return and will work alongside the likes of USMNT manager Emma Hayes and former England international Karen Carney.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/jun/26/eni-aluko-ian-wright-itv-womens-euro-2025" target="_blank">The Guardian</a> reports that Wright was not left out of the selection because of his feud with Aluko. Wright was a pundit for the majority of England's qualifying campaign, and at the 2023 World Cup. </p>
