<p>Fernandez has already turned down a move to Atletico Madrid, according to <em>Diario AS</em> reporter <a href="https://x.com/edu17burgos/status/1904976370972705211" target="_blank">Eduardo Burgos</a>. Several of his Argentina team-mates tried to convince him to join Diego Simeone's side during the international break but are yet to tempt him away from Stamford Bridge. Fernandez is said to like being in London, although he is still 'keeping his options open'.</p>

<p>Fernandez was part of the Argentina squad that enjoyed wins over <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/argentina-player-ratings-vs-uruguay-thiago-almada-lionel-messi/blt6663b76b0a271b29" target="_blank">Uruguay</a> and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/argentina-player-ratings-vs-brazil-lionel-messi-julian-alvarez-enzo-fernandez/bltd504c890f7733f8b" target="_blank">Brazil</a> during the international break. The Chelsea man was in the squad alongside Atletico stars including Rodrigo de Paul, Nahuel Molina Julian Alvarez, Angel Correa and Giuliano Simeone, who were reportedly charged with convincing Fernandez to head to the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/atletico-madrid-argentina-stars-enzo-fernandez-summer-move-chelsea-julian-alvarez-convincing-midfielder/blt50a2762eefd662d6#cs81195295c62c9d67" target="_blank">Spanish capital while he was away from the Blues</a>.</p><p></p>
