Now, it has been revealed which teams, who have to duke it out in the play-offs, they could face following Friday's draw.

WHAT HAPPENED?

United or Tottenham could face either AZ Alkmaar, Midtjylland, Real Sociedad, or Galatasaray in a two-legged last-16 tie in early to mid-March. This is a competition both teams have a good chance of winning but these sides could provide stern opposition in the round of 16.

EUROPA LEAGUE KNOCKOUT PHASE PLAY-OFF DRAW IN FULL

After eight matches of the group stage, Lazio topped the table and United finished third with 18 points; while Spurs were a place and a point behind them in fourth. Incidentally, Sociedad came 13th, Galatasaray were 14th, AZ finished 19th and Midtjylland ended up in 20th. Play-off ties will be played on 13 and 20 February.
