Ex-Man Utd star Brandon Williams receives 14 month suspended prison sentence and ordered to 180 hours of community service over dangerous driving charge

<p>In August 2023, Williams was spotted driving his Audi A3 on the A34 close to Handforth, Cheshire, at high speeds and erratically as his car crashed into the central reservation after colliding with a Ford Fiesta. He entered a guilty plea to reckless driving and uninsured driving in March.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Williams has been handed a suspended 14-month jail term for hazardous driving after reaching nearly 100 mph (161 kmph) before colliding with another automobile. He has been given a three-year driving restriction, a two-year suspension from his sentence, and a community order ordering him to perform 180 hours of unpaid labour.</p>

<p>Williams was on loan at Ipswich Town at the time of the incident, which occurred 10 months before Manchester United confirmed his departure due to the expiration of his contract.
