<p>Wirtz has been linked with a move away from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, amid strong interest from Manchester City and Real Madrid. According to <a href="https://sportbild.bild.de/fussball/fc-bayern-muenchen/real-city-oder-bayern-florian-wirtz-hat-klaren-wechsel-wunsch-6819a8d26255e217f6c1de4c" target="_blank"><em>BILD</em></a>, the attacking midfielder has made up his mind on his next destination as he is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/bayern-munich-deadly-florian-wirtz-harry-kane-link-up-bavarian-giants-steal-march-transfer-rivals-bayer-leverkusen-star/blt3760ac4b67e484ff#cse5d23e8f9ffd9c5a" target="_blank">all set to join newly crowned Bundesliga champions Bayern</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The report adds that the player has already informed Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso about his decision to move to the Bavarian club. His father and advisor Hans shares a close relationship with Bayern chief Uli Hoeness, and they have reportedly discussed a potential move for the player, whose current contract runs until 2027. The two German clubs are now set to negotiate a deal in the coming weeks for Wirtz, who has a €125 million (£106m/$142m) release clause.</p>
