<p>Per <a href="https://sportwitness.co.uk/saudi-and-european-approaches-for-arsenal-player-gunners-will-offer-new-contract-to-fight-clubs-off/" target="_blank">UOL</a>, clubs in Saudi Arabia and in Europe are interested in signing Gabriel and have already made approaches for the player. The centre-back is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury but he remains a key cog in Mikel Arteta's Gunners machine. The defender has made 42 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Arsenal are said to be willing to offer the defender a new deal to ward off interest, as the 27-year-old's current deal runs until 2027. Arteta wants to retain the star, although no details have been shared about the finances included in any new deal. </p>

<p>It is unclear if Gabriel would be interested in moving to Saudi Arabia because he has been central to the way Arsenal play in recent years. Since his arrival in 2020, he has made 210 appearances for the club. </p>
