It's been an emotional rollercoaster since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over at Wrexham in November 2020. After a near miss last season, the Red Dragons finally secured the National League title by beating Boreham Wood on Saturday, which means they will be competing in the Football League for the first time since 2008 next campaign.
The club's Hollywood owners have not been afraid of throwing their weight around in the transfer market in recent times, infamously convincing League Two top scorer Paul Mullin to forego a place in League One with Cambridge United and drop down two divisions in the summer of 2021.
And more recently, Reynolds and McElhenney convinced retired Premier League stalwart turned world-class vlogger Ben Foster to strap his GoPro back on and help Wrexham over the line in the final weeks of the season.
