“Rose is an amazing talent, and we are very excited to have her as a part of the club,” said Head Coach Juan Carlos Amorós. “She is a very exciting player to watch because of her creative and technical abilities. Rose brings so much to every team she is on, and I am very excited to work with her this season.”

“I am very excited to work with Emily Sonnett next season, as we continue to build off our success from last season,” said head coach Juan Carlos Amorós. “She is a very strong player, who plays the game with great passion. We are very excited to have a player and leader like her at the club.”

The Bats are having an eye-catching offseason, with the additions of <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/crystal-dunn-transfer-gotham-fc-nwsl-uswnt-orlando-pride/blte7345ff85ab857c3" target="_blank">Crystal Dunn</a> and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/gotham-uswnt-tierna-davidson-crystal-dunn-nwsl-champions-chicago-red-stars/blt38764ad5cb5630e3" target="_blank">Tierna Davidson </a>already in the books. The additions of Lavelle and Sonnet mark four different USWNT stars joining them, and four World Cup champions as well. Coming off their first-ever NWSL Championship in 2023, they've arguably created an even better roster heading into 2024.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The 2023 NWSL season begins March 18, so preseason is just around the corner. The Bats will return to action, and training, in the coming weeks but first up is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/nwsl-draft-2024-prospects-order-live-stream-watch/bltf8974c834ffec0c4" target="_blank">2024 NWSL Draft,</a> where they'll look to bring in some young talent to the squad.
