<p>Kane came off at half-time in their <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/alphonso-davies-steals-win-bayern-sneak-past-celtic-champions-league-play-off-canadian-star-scores-94th-minute-goal-but-concern-grows-for-injured-harry-kane/blt4b558a48ba109b8c" target="_blank">Champions League play-off second leg against Celtic</a> in midweek with a calf complaint, a few days on from <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/harry-kane-injured-bayern-munich-training-champions-league-blow-face-disastrous-display-bayer-leverkusen/blt911f1946e71b326f" target="_blank">missing training</a> after taking a blow to the face at Bayer Leverkusen. Now, manager Kompany has said this is a "short-term situation" for the 31-year-old, without stating if he will miss any Bayern matches. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>He told reporters, via <a href="https://sport.sky.de/fussball/artikel/vincent-kompany-ueber-harry-kane-und-joshua-kimmich-vor-eintracht-frankfurt/13314464/34130" target="_blank">Sky Germany</a>: "We'll see. It's good that we're not talking about two, three, four weeks, but about a short-term situation. We'll have to wait and see. </p><p>"It would not be the first time we have had to solve this this season. We can never replace Harry [Kane] one-to-one. There are not many players who score 40 or 50 goals in the season. We will try to find the best solution to win the game."</p>

WHAT VINCENT KOMPANY SAID

<p>Kane is such a key player for Bayern, with the England captain scoring a whopping 73 goals in 76 appearances for the German giants. Getting him back fit will be key to their chances of winning silverware this season after a trophyless 2023/24 campaign. </p>
