Kane briefly thought he had scored, only for the effort to be chalked off for offside, and despite being reduced to nine men, PSG held on, ending Bayern’s tournament hopes to an end and also drawing the curtain on Muller's tenure at the club.</p>

WHAT KANE SAID

<p>With the Club World Cup now behind them, Bayern are set for a brief summer break before competitive action resumes. The team will return to the pitch on August 16 for the DFL-Supercup final, where they will take on Stuttgart. Following that, the new Bundesliga season kicks off on August 22 with a clash against RB Leipzig, a tough test to open what will be the post-Muller era at the Allianz Arena.</p>
