It has been reported that release clauses were included in the deal that Kane agreed when moving to Germany from Tottenham in 2023.</p>

At that point, the 31-year-old may decide that he wants to head home and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/liverpool-harry-kane-transfer-great-option-alan-shearer-reacts-bayern-munich-striker-premier-league-record/bltc4c7b55dc4fd580f" target="_blank">chase down Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal record</a>.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Various potential landing spots are being speculated on, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-in-for-him-liverpool-front-line-harry-kane-bayern-munich-striker-shock-premier-league-transfer/bltf8c44c399120d551" target="_blank">from Old Trafford to Emirates Stadium</a>, but World Cup winner Petit cannot see the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/arsenal-trophy-troubles-harry-kane-transfer-warning-bayern-munich-former-tottenham-striker-surprising-premier-league-return/blt3e7cd3331cce017a" target="_blank">prolific No.9 back in north London</a>. If he joined Manchester United, or if he went back to Tottenham, even Arsenal, there would be no guarantee that he would win silverware. He’s virtually guaranteed trophies at Bayern. He’s getting older, the clock is ticking, I suspect that he wants to hoover up as many trophies as he can with Bayern.”</p>

WHAT EMMANUEL PETIT SAID
