The flooding, which impacted several properties in the Cheshire neighbourhood, struck without warning, catching many residents off guard. </p>

<p>According to <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/32582258/harry-maguires-mansion-floods-new-years-eve/" target="_blank"><em>The Sun</em></a><em>, </em>as the rains continued to pour, Maguire and his guests quickly tried to prevent the water from reaching the interiors of his luxurious home. Despite their late-night efforts, the unexpected deluge disrupted what had been a night of celebration. Maguire, alongside his wife Fern, 29, took immediate action to mitigate the damage to their property. With the help of their guests, the group worked tirelessly in the early hours of the morning to control the rising waters.</p>

<p>The downpours that plagued Greater Manchester and Cheshire brought widespread chaos, with an entire month’s worth of rain falling in just 48 hours. Local emergency services declared a major incident, responding to over 100 calls for assistance. In Maguire’s neighbourhood, the flooding not only affected homes but also led to infrastructure damage. The collapse of the Bridgewater Canal’s banks near Little Bollington caused water to cascade across nearby fields, forcing residents to evacuate. A section of the M56 motorway was also temporarily closed as authorities worked to manage the crisis. Mountain rescue teams were deployed to aid trapped residents. </p>
