Despite their late-night efforts, the unexpected deluge disrupted what had been a night of celebration. Maguire, alongside his wife Fern, 29, took immediate action to mitigate the damage to their property. With the help of their guests, the group worked tirelessly in the early hours of the morning to control the rising waters.</p>

The collapse of the Bridgewater Canal’s banks near Little Bollington caused water to cascade across nearby fields, forcing residents to evacuate. A section of the M56 motorway was also temporarily closed as authorities worked to manage the crisis. Mountain rescue teams were deployed to aid trapped residents. </p>
