'Incredible player' - Enzo Fernandez tips teenage sensation to make switch to top European club after impressing in Argentina - with Chelsea, Real Madrid and Man Utd monitoring 17-year-old wonderkid

<p>Fernandez gave the comments to ESPN, after being asked about the player's prospects. The Argentinian spoke glowingly of his young compatriot, calling Mastantuono "an incredible player." Real Madrid, Manchester United and Fernandez' Chelsea are rumoured to be interested in the player. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The Argentina Under-20 international has scored three goals and bagged two assists in his 12 appearances for the Buenos Aires club this season. The player has a contract at River until December 2027, but has a release clause set at €45m (£38.4m).</p>

<p>Fernandez said: "He's showing that he has a European future. You can see it.</p><p>"He's an incredible player. He's doing very well and has shown great talent. In my opinion, he's a star. I wish him the best and hope he can achieve all his goals. Hopefully he can also help us in the national team."</p>

<p>The Chelsea midfielder may have been heaping the praise on the youngster to entice a move to Stamford Bridge. The Blues will likely struggle to secure the services of premium talent if they're unable to address their financial woes. Qualifying for next season's Champions League will become even more crucial; Chelsea have the toughest run-in of the club' vying for a spot in England's top five. </p>
