Ipswich allowed their star forward to travel to Manchester to get a first-hand experience of the club he could join ahead of the 2025-26 season.</p>

The 22-year-old striker has a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/liam-delap-cut-price-ipswich-relegation-release-clause-revealed-transfer-chelsea-man-utd/bltcd9ee75030b4dd21" target="_blank">£30 million ($40m) release clause in his contract</a>, which is now active after Ipswich's relegation from the Premier League was confirmed. The striker will evaluate his options and take some time before finalising his next destination.</p>
